Definitely. My favorites so far are the Spectral lore / mare cognitum Wanderers album (2 hours of massive cosmic/atmospheric progressive black metal) and Svrm - Zanepad (svrm is one of my favorite newer discoveries...like a punky, more urgent Drudkh, most songs in the 3-4 minute range, but packed with incredibly dense atmospherics and some of the most sorrowful melodies in all of Slavic bm). Also really enjoying the new Conception and Lychgate, and the new Ygg is very decent.

A lot of stuff I’m still looking forward to. New Forgjord (their 2019 album ilmestykset was one of my favorites from last year - fuzzy, grimy lo fi Finnish black metal with heavy post rock / classic metal influences ). New Esoctriihum (bizarre/otherworldly Lovecraftian deathened black metal with a ton of exotic/psychedelic elements). New paysage d’Hiver, gaerea, Precambrian and enslaved round out the list so far.
A lot of stuff here that I do not know. Some of it definitely sounds interesting.
Above all I’d say check out Esoctrilihum’s last 3 albums. It’s a very unique sound and the death metal elements are at least as prevalent as the black metal. It’s a lot to absorb but the stuff gels beautifully...

What about the new
Malokarpatan?
I heard about it. The Sigh comparisons are intriguing but also kind of alarming haha. Worth looking into?
