Rainbow Kitten Surprise – How to: Friend,Love,Freefall
Saw them a couple of years ago at a festival. Surprisingly enjoyable.
Rolling Stones – Exile on Main Street
Best Stones album? Maybe.
Wicked Maraya – Cycles
Still criminally underrated. I think I'll spin it now, in fact.

My List:

Yes - The Yes Album, Fragile, Close to the Edge, Tales From Topographic Oceans:

They really kinda lose me until "Going for the One" after "Tales". That said, these four are kinda the definition of FM radio "prog-rock", and all are done brilliantly, especially "Close to the Edge", which I have been obsessed with this week when I never really was before.

And, no, I have no idea why I'm on a '70s Yes kick.

Annihilator - Ballistic/Sadistic

Eh, it's better. Like most of the catalog, lots of cool guitar playing, some good songs. Jeff's vocals are markedly better than most of the albums he sings on.

There's nothing on the level of "Fun Palace" or "WTYD", though.

Legs Diamond - S/T, A Diamond is a Hard Rock, Fire Power:

I never really gave these guys their due other than the first record, so I went back and listened to the pre-reformation albums. The cracks are definitely showing on "Fire Power", but the first two are as good as '70s AOR hard rock gets.

Riot - Fire Down Under:

Some of my cover bandmates had never heard this. One's immediate comment was "does this come with a pack of Marlboro reds and a bottle of Jack? It just went gloriously everywhere I expected it to."

Seems fitting.

That's it. I really listened to a lot of Yes this week. lol
