The deep cuts on this album are pretty great, right?
Oh, yeah.

It's as untr00 an opinion as you can find, but Pyromania's my favorite Def Leppard. and the deep cuts are a big reason why. Great stuff.
I'm guessing these two tracks are just leftovers from Second to None, but I'll be damned if this band has released anything bad at all.
That's what I assume.
I miss when every order came with a sketch, though!
I only bought their stuff digitally so I have no idea what kind of sketches were provided. But I bet they were awesome.

Also, just because I always feel impelled to say it when Dream Troll come up in conversation, "Velvet Drawbridge" absolutely sounds like a fake-England-fantasy term for certain portions of a woman's anatomy and/or a fantasy brothel. Maybe both!
Same here, more or less, although I'd say this is a bit less engaging overall than Whiteout Conditions, which I personally enjoyed more than Brill Bruisers.
I want to like Whiteout Conditions 'cause that neon-twilight-drive-time-'80s-synth sound the album plays with is usually my kind of jam, but... it still has never caught on.
This new one is good, because pretty much everything Newman does is at LEAST good, but it never really gets going. Maybe Dan Bejar is necessary after all? Strangers things have happened.
Nah, 'cause Brill Bruisers never quite gets that kick in the ass, either, and Bejar was on that one. Could just be that the project's best days are burned up and "perfectly all right but whatever" is all that's left in Newman's tank barring some giant private shake-up.

(I feel that way about most of the stuff on Neko Case's post-Middle Cyclone albums, too.)
