Kick Axe - Rock the World. I wanted to hear We
Still
Remember, mainly, but the whole album rules.
The flag still flies!

I've probably mentioned before, but this is in my 20-greatest albums of all time (and "We Still Remember" is my favorite track). Every time I listen to the band I have a greater appreciation for George Criston....one of the great unheralded metal voices of the '80s.
Yeah, his voice is crazy great. I wish he was in the reunited Kick Axe. Then I would care!
Joe Jackson - Look Sharp! Such a bitter asshole, this guy!
I need to make a point to listen his first 3 or 4 albums. I've always been a huge fan of Night and Day (despite the dated drum machine sound), but never explored the rest of his discography much.
Oh yeah, you do. But really, it's just the first two: Look Sharp! and I'm the Man. Those two were written and possibly even recorded at the same time, but unlike VH and VHII, the second one doesn't suck. In fact, both albums are equally great. He did one more album with this band, called Beat Crazy, and it's decidedly less good, but it still has some strong tunes. Before Night and Day, Jackson was basically making power pop (in the vein of Graham Parker), but burbling over with acid and barely-contained misanthropy. Good shit!
