Sühnopfer - Hic Regnant Borbonii Manes
France is starting to become the leader in black metal, and Sühnopfer cements that position. With big medieval inspirations as to melodies and overall atmospheric sound, this is more than "just" Medieval Black Metal, but in my book a masterpiece in metal. Contender for album of the year for me.

Véhémence - Par le Sang Versé
Another Medieval Black Metal album from France. I never spent time with their debut Assiegé, but Par le sang Versé is fantastic, with a wide variety of actual medieval instruments being utilized to create that great sound. As opposed to Sühnopfer it's more epic than sinister, but a great listen, and likely a top 10 album for me in 2019.

Labrinth, SIA & Diplo - LSD
Sia continues to impress me with her vocal style, and when that is backed by good to great songwriting that lets it flourish, it is just a joy to listen to. Good album.

Inanimate Existence - Clockwork
Just another fantastic tech-death release from these guys.

Inferi - The End of an Era (rebirth)
A re-recording (I think), of the 2011 tech-death classic. A HUGE upgrade in sound, though some of its original gritty charm is lost.
