The Futureheads - The Futureheads. This band was absolutely huge for me - I followed them obsessively, bought every 7" and CD single, and saw them live at least a half dozen times. Then they simply vanished, and no one seems to have noticed that they ever existed. This bums me out so hard.
I loved these guys from the second I heard their "Hounds of Love" cover, and they remained in heavy play all the way until they went on hiatus. (Now they mostly remain in heavy mental play but I've still had "Decent Days and Nights", "Skip to the End", "Back to the Sea" , and "Think Tonight" caught in my head unbidden over the last month.)
Well, it's certainly hard to do a worthy Kate Bush cover (ask Angra!) but I think The Futureheads nailed it.
Incidentally, and I just found this out myself trying to check something, they're now back.
Funny, the friend of mine who first introduced me to the band (I think she was working for the indie promo firm the label hired to promote the first album) texted me out of the blue yesterday to tell me the same thing. Synchronicity, for sure! Anyway, I'm beyond stoked. I really hope they come back to the US - they're an AMAZING live band!

I listened to The Chaos and Beginning of the Twist yesterday in celebration!
