RX Bandits - Halfway Between Here and There + The Resignation. First time listening to them. Since Herr Johnsen is always going on about how great they are I figured I should get around to it finally. Musically, there is a quantum leap between these two albums.

Einojuhani Rautavaara (1928-2016) - various pieces, mostly on Youtube. Came across this obvious insane-asylum-escapee composer via Youtube recommended video. Pianist Laura Mikkola who played the recordings must have fingers of steel.

Queensryche - The Verdict

Spock's Beard - The Light

Yngwie Malmsteen - Concerto Suite for Electric Guitar and Orchestra in E-flat Minor

Evelyn Glennie - greatest hits 2CD comp. Includes two Bjork collaborations, "My Spine" and "Oxygen"; a piece based on a dance described in Frank Herbert's Dune called "Matre's Dance"; a peppy hi-hat solo called "Sorbet No.7: Hi-Hat Playout"; plus a cover of Born to Be Wild, and of course, Flight of the Bumblebee.

Hypocrisy - The Arrival

Voivod - The Wake

Devin - Empath

Paul Chain - Whited Sepulchres. The first time I heard this I was not prepared for how jammy the title track is... now it's my jam.

The Sea Within

DT - When Dream and Day Unite. Is this their new album?

AC/DC - Live at Donnington 1990. If you skip the big-noise-endings they insist on tacking onto every song it cuts the playing time in half.

Glass Hammer - Journey of the Dunadan
