I know we don't know one another, but I'm very happy that your wife is in remission; I hope she didn't have to go thru too much hell to get there.

And I'm sorry to hear you've been looking for work for so long. My wife got her Masters last May and just got a job last week, so it's not a great job market despite the hype. You'll find what you're looking for, hopefully soon. The job site that helped her get the gig was ziprecruiter.com - a bunch of headhunters got in touch with her and one of them finally panned out after two near misses.
