Argus - From Fields of Fire
Great album from a consistently great band!
Spirit Adrift - Curse of Conception
I can't get into this, mainly because of the vox.
The Gates of Slumber - Hymns of Blood and Thunder
These are also pretty bad vox, but I guess I don't mind as much when it comes to GoS. I saw them live a couple times, and they were fun.

My list:

Miles Davis - Bitches Brew. As always!

Eric B & Rakim - Don't Sweat the Technique. I saw them last night, on their first tour together in 30 years! It was pretty fun, but I'm a bit out of my element at rap shows. They were playing golden era hiphop on the PA, and everyone was singing along as if it were Medieval Steel at the Keep It True preparty, but I don't know any of that stuff. The crowd was WAY into the show, though, and it's always a good time to be around people who love music.

Skinny Puppy - The Greater Wrong of the Right. Some of the band's best tunes are on this album. A great comeback, this one! Nothing they've done since has really compared, though.

Savatage - The Dungeons are Calling. I sometimes hear people talk about Zack like he was a massive and obvious upgrade in the vocal department, but that, to me, is just plain nuts. Jon was always better.

Death - Leprosy. I think I queued this up after listening to the latest Grotesque track.

John Arch - A Twist of Fate. Been on a big Arch kick lately, but this is the one I listen to the least (well, I think I probably spin this more than Night on Brocken, which just isn't very good.) This is a great EP, but I guess when I'm feeling Archy, I'm going to go with Guardian or Sympathetic Mechanical Resonance.

Hexx - Morbid Reality. There's so much to love about this album, but the batshit crazy drums are maybe the best thing.

Arch Enemy - Black Earth, Stigmata. The two good ones.

Scorpions - In Trance. Gave this one a whirl after talking to a Scorps super-fan. Put me in the mood.

Secrecy - Art in Motion. Classic.

Clifford Jordan - Glass Bead Games. A Ken recommendation. Solid spiritual jazz.

Memoriam - The Silent Vigil. I want to love this band, if only for Karl and Whale, but the riffs are weak and Karl is sounding pretty beat. It has its moments, and thankfully there are fewer pinched harmonics than on the last album, but this is simply not that great.

Unreal Overflows - Latent. One of the best Death clones out there. I celebrate their entire discography.
