Exactly. There are many bands with inconsistent discographies. They just have to release at least five albums: good-bad-comeback1-bad-comeback2. And, of course, these assessments will be very subjective.
Yeah, IMO unless they have a string of duds followed by one that's generally considered to be on par with the classics, I don't consider it a comeback. I can't think of any bands that qualify for 2 comebacks under those criteria. I can think of plenty of bands that have inconsistent output with a few gems after a strong early career. Flotsam and Jetsam with The Cold and the S/T, with the awful Ugly Noise in between. Overkill has similar ups and downs, but Bloodletting and Ironbound seem to stand out by all accounts, after some meh releases.
