Flotsam & Jetsam - Doomsday for the Deceiver
Always a fun listen...
Solitude Aeturnus - Into the Depths of Sorrow
The first two are *so* good.

I enjoyed it - some really interesting insights into that period in metal.

My list:

Judas Priest - "Sin After Sin", "Stained Class", "Priest In the East", "Screaming for Vengeance", "Defenders of the Faith", "Firepower":

Still in rotation two weeks after the show. "Defenders" is so much better than it got credit for at the time, and "Stained Class" was so far ahead of its time that I can't believe they got it past Columbia.

Realm - 1992 Demo:

I really wish this band had continued. Like so many bands at this point they were pushing thrash into something completely different. This demo basically builds on "Suiciety", and has a great cover of "One More Red Nightmare", and "The Last Argument of Kings", both of which were bonus tracks on the "Suiciety" re-issue, as well as the killer "Cast the First Stone":

Worth digging up if you're a fan.

Owane - yeah whatever:

Total switch to some Swedish fusion-type stuff (I'm reluctant to really call it jazz since the bass and keys are programmed), and it's a good listen - dude has skills:

Forceful - Rise or Fall:

Just the one tune released so far, but this is solid melodic metal/U.S. power metal from Germany:

Power Tale - Seven Underground Kings:

Euro power metal from the Ukraine that's in the Ordan Ogan vein, but with all the operatic histrionics you'd expect. Still fun - although maybe I just like the fact that it's sung in Ukranian.

Necrophagist - Epitaph:

Still great.
