Some of my friends who are very good musicians loved 311 back then (well, a few years earlier - I don't know if that matters to their sound). They got me a CD because I refused to buy one and I didn't like it. I was a severe disappointment to my buddies. I should try again now that I'm old and too tired to be super judgmental.
311 is fine. I just do not have any desire to listen to them, except out of nostalgia. Even then, it was just "Omaha Stylee" on YouTube. Once. :-)
I liked The Offspring. Those same friends were even more disappointed in that. I still like The Offspring. Fuck those guys! :)
Yeah, the three albums I liked were a lot of fun back then. Some of the songs still bring a smile to my face. Mostly nostalgia, of course, but still enjoyable. Always despised Green Day though.
