I also like Dead Rhetoric.

When I was cutting my teeth, the first key online site I read regularly was Metal Judgment. I think their site was a manually edited HTML site. (In addition to the classics - Markus Karlsson's black & doom page, and the old anus.com/metal.) The first blog I remember seeing was Aversionline. Top ten year-end lists on sites whose names I can't remember were how I first encountered bands like Blind Guardian and Avantasia.

A few years back I was reading Worm Gear and From the Dust Returned (autothrall). Autothrall's reviews are crossposted to Metal Archives. The blog I've read the most of is Invisible Oranges, mostly arbitrarily - I remember when it launched and it has a catchy name, so the URL springs easily to mind.

From 2013 to 2017 I wrote album reviews for Doom-metal.com, although I'm not sure if I'll keep up with it.

More recently, most of what I read is concert reviews/recaps than album reviews, as I am still more likely to buy a show ticket than an album.
