I'm digging both of them, but neither is quite up to the legacy of either band. I'd say the DSO is probably better than the last one, and maybe better than the debut. It doesn't touch Sing-Along Songs for the Damned and Delirious, but not much does. The Faceless I'd rank 3rd of their 4 (although Akeldama and Autotheism are really high bars). Just surprised that they aren't at least getting a casual mention on any lists so far and no chatter on the board here.
The Faceless disc is likely one of my faves of 2017.

I like five songs on the new DSO, which is exactly five more songs than I have appreciated on any previous DSO disc.

Not sure why you are surprised that neither has been mentioned here though. Few people here post about new music anymore, and most of the new music that is mentioned comes from veteran bands. In other words, we are even older and lamer than we were previously.
