Matt Johnsen proclaimed:
On time, this time!

Droid - Terrestrial Mutations. Great new sci-fi rethrash from Canada's answer to DBC and Voivod.
They were Great at Wings of Metal 2015, great level-headed kids, too.

Fates Warning - Awaken the Guardian.

Sacrilege - Beyond the Realms of Madness, Within the Prophecy, Turn Back Trilobite. Turn Back Trilobite is kind of weak, almost doom metal, but the first two are fucking crushing. This is the band who more or less invented Bolt Thrower's sound. Although Sacrilege had melodic female vocals (sorta like a not-as-good Nicole Lee from Znowhite), the style of riffing they invented IS the Bolt Thrower sound. Check 'em out.
I only have the first two, haven't played them in a bit, maybe throw it on tonight.

Abattoir - Vicious Attack, The Only Safe Place. Vicious Attack is a minor classic of North American speed metal, but like most such things (I'm thinking early Razor, Exciter, what have you), it kind of sucks. Vicious Attack is kinda like Savage Grace doing Motorhead covers at their first rehearsal. The Only Safe Place is not generally held in high esteem, but I find it to be a much better album.
I agree with last two sentences:)

Seduce - Seduce, Too Much Ain't Enough. These guys are closer to hair metal than I'd like, but for some reason, I always dug 'em. "No Use" is a killer tune. Surprised no one's reissued these lately, as both are quite rare on CD, and if I'm not mistaken, the debut is even fairly hard to come by on vinyl.
\,,/The Metal Years:)\,,/ Hey, they came off better than Odin:)
Sadus - Swallowed in Black. I bought this back in the day because Chuck Schuldiner is wearing a Sadus shirt in his Leprosy band pic. I always wanted to like this more than I did - the drumming is kind of boring and the production is kind of thing - and now I think maybe I actually do! This clicked with me in a way that it never has before. Maybe I'm just more tolerant of thrashy basketball beats these days.
Haha. Do you like the first one? I do, very much.
