Good one there, Matt. My favorite is SFI, but this is #2.
I think that SFI, MCtP, and Short Wave are all pretty much equally great. Outer Space is a bit less good, and Black Umbrellas is clearly their worst, but even that one is pretty damned fine. They were just a killer band no matter what style they played.
Thought of the day: the best possible Soundgarden album is actually Burning Time. Last Crack shoulda been huge.
Being from the cheese state did not help. Did any band outside of Washington become big during that era?
STP and Bush, I guess. Live, maybe, although that certainly didn't last long.
Believer - everything. I love all eras of this band, and while it's very different from their thrash albums, Transhuman is so fucking great it hurts. I'm really looking forward to their new stuff, and hope I get to see them some more. They're almost sorta kinda local to me.
Yes, Transhuman is pretty darn good. The new tracks are not, unfortunately.
I haven't heard them. I guess I didn't realize they were out already. My bro-in-law did get me a pounder of the new Believer beer, though. I haven't tried it yet.
