Of course, you're OK with it - you are not the one who's on the creative end of things and would like to be able to get a decent enough budget in order to to see his/her vision through and get paid for his/her work by anyone who decides they want to possess it, either as a downloaded file or physical CD.

Most of these recent technological advances benefit the consumer way more than the artist/creator, and the more that balance tilts out of whack in favor of the former, the worse for the latter and, ultimately, the arts as a whole.

Hopefully some day soon we will have the technology where anything that is not an authorized file will be able to infect an illegal user's theft device with a nasty virus that renders any hard drive useless forever. That would bring some much needed parity back into this pathetic free-for-all where artists are disrespected like 2-dollar whores by hordes of so-called music 'fans' who think they are somehow entitled.
