1. Mastodon - Crack the Skye
I still cannot fathom this band's popularity, although I find this one much more listenable than their previous work. The can all play, but...
2. Artillery - When Death Comes
I was shock at how good this is. "B.A.C.K." was pretty meh, so I didn't expect much. The new vocalist fits right in, and the songwriting (always the band's strong suit in the old days) seems to have returned in spades.
3. Exivious - s/t
I like this a lot, but not as much as you. It needs more crunch at times to really satisfy me.
4. Heaven Below - Countdown to Devil
This is actually...pretty good. Wow.
5. Futures End - Memoirs of a Broken Man
This one hasn't connected with me. It has all the right parts, but something about it leaves me cold. I need to revisit it, though.
6. Eminent - Death of the Pilgrim
I was just checking out their MySpace tunes. This goes on my "buy" list.

8. Mindwork - Into the Swirl
Bought it, love it, still listen to it regularly despite being out of the "tech death" mood for about six months now. This is a really high-quality album in this style.
9. Serdce - The Alchemy of Harmony
I'll go with the Neglected Fields comment - there's certainly some similarities. One of the most original and best in this genre right now.
10. Centaurus-A - Side Effects Expected
I agree that this is good - and the guitar work is, indeed, excellent.
11. Bibleblack - The Black Swan Epilogue
I just revisited this, and it may have moved to the "buy" pile.
12. Candlemass - Death Magic Doom
I also need to revisit this. I'm strange with this band - I like the non-Messiah albums better, especially the first one and Chapter VI. I *love* Rob Lowe. Somehow, the combination doesn't click as well for me as it should.
15. Crown the Lost - Blind Faith Loyalty
I really need to check this out. I've been saying that for like a year.
16. Obscura - Cosmogenesis
Excellent disc. I got exactly what I was hoping for out of this.
19. Kreator - Hordes of Chaos
I was slightly disappointed in this, as it wasn't quite up to the quality of the two previous ones. It's still lightyears better than most of the ReThrash stuff that rips them off, though.
20. Redemption - Snowfall on Judgment Day
I like this disc. Ray had failed to connect with me on an emotional level on his previous attempts, but he sells it to me here.
21. Submission - Code of Conspiracy
Again, I've been saying for a while I need to check this out.
22. Expulsion - Wasteworld
Checking this out now. At least it's not 'core vox, right? ;)

27. Horfixion - The Art of Agony
Yeah, I need to get this, too. Sounds like it's up to their (his?) standards.
28. Amoral - Show Your Colors I revisited the disc at a considerably later date and realized that the guitarists had not lost their touch.
Hmm. Apparently, I need to do that, as well, as it did not grab me initially.

31. Shadows Fall - Retribution

I am not quite sure why Shadows Fall gets so much shit from my peers, many of whom love classic thrash as much as I do and have an appreciation for the more modern sound as well.
Me neither. Brian Fair isn't great, but the rest of the band is fine, and their desire to be Testament has produced some quite listenable stuff. The initial CM marketing campaign for them has eternally tainted them in the underground, but I'd much rather had the Hot Topic kiddies listening to this than most of the other stuff they're lumped with.

39. Savage Circus - Of Doom and Death
Generally, I just listen to "Imaginations From the Other Side" and I'm done with this craving.
40. Vektor - Black Future
I like difference in approach from the other ReThrash bands, but I'm not 100% sold on them yet. Some of this disc seems like wasted effort to me.
42. Gory Blister - Graveyard of Angels
I dunno about Coroner, but I enjoyed this more than I initially thought I would.
45. Delain - April Rain
It gets less and less interesting to me with each spin. 2 or 3 more listens and I'll forget it exists. ;)
46. Gama Bomb - Tales from the Grave in Space

Rethrash done well.
Agreed. Not spectacular, but solid.

51. Ram-Zet - Neutralized
Still need to listen to this. I should be taking notes!
57. Scar Symmetry - Dark Matter Dimensions
I'm getting tired of the same album every time from these guys.

64. Eradicator - The Atomic Blast
Obviously, I like it, since I bought it with you. Good no-frills ReThrash.
77. Woe of Tyrants - Kingdom of Might
I like it. I don't love it, but it's a solid listen. New one's pretty good, too.
78. Pitch Black - Hate Division
What did we ever do to them? ;)

81. White Wizzard - High Speed GTO
Fun, but I never go back to it.

84. Revocation - Existence Is Futile
This is a sophomore slump disc. I have high hopes for the next one, as this one is good, but doesn't hold me like the first one did.

87. Fool's Game - Reality Divine
Some of you will be surprised to find that I like it, despite my well-known feelings about Lars. This is certainly his best performance.
89. While Heaven Wept - Vast Oceans Lachrymose
Count me as one of the fanbois. I love Tom's work in general, and I think he's outdone himself this time by cranking up the Fates influences.
90. Slayer - World Painted Blood
It's half a good disc, which is pretty good considering their recent output.

102. Divinity - The Singularity
It's a little spotty to me. I love the guitar work, but the vocals get to me after a while, at times.

As usual, you've outdone yourself. Bravo!
