Of course not. But that doesn't mean that artists are *entitled* to compensation for their efforts. If they want to make money, they have to produce something that people are willing to buy. Clearly, the willingness of people to purchase sound recordings is quickly diminishing.
Only because they can STEAL that music easily. It has little to do with
the music's actual worth or the demand for that music. People would be
willing to buy more music if there were no pirated mp3s available.
