Candlemass - Epicus Doomicus Metallicus
Possessed - Beyond the Gates
Cream - Disraeli Gears
Cool!

I've caught my breath enough to listen to several full albums as well:

Cirith Ungol – King of the Dead + One Foot in Hell
Manilla Road – The Deluge + Open the Gates
Uriah Heep – Fallen Angel
Mindless Sinner – Turn on the Power
Demolition Hammer – Epidemic of Violence
Darkthrone – A Blaze in the Northern Sky
Exorcist – Nightmare Theatre
Hyksos – s/t

Hyksos is the same one from Metal Massacre II; old school US trad, very OTT high vox ala young (and very exaggerated and erratic) Steve Grimmett, extremely quirky and abrasive even by the Deadly Blessing/Living Death/Iron Angel/Cirith Ungol/Holocross (and even Lords of the Crimson Alliance) standards. 1982. And the best song, "Shadow of a Stallion" has parts that sounds a lot like something a decade later:

Oh, doesn't it?

Oh, also saw Demolition Hammer play an Epidemic of Violence set on June 24 - sold out, they were awesome again, crowd was nuts; I ended on the barricade again. They played "Pyroclastic Annihilation" - made my day!!! -

The merch line was an hour long!!! Seriously, we spent both opening bands' sets on line; luckily, it was near the bar:)
